Jadon's Quilt

Recently, Jadon reluctantly decided it was time to get a new quilt for his bed.  He has had his CARS bedding since he moved out of his crib when he was 4 – the summer before Kalina was born.  This was a big decision.  What he really wanted was new Star Wars bedding – no surprise.  We looked and looked.  We searched on-line and could not find anything he really liked.  I heard that a friend in LPA likes to quilt.  So, I met with her and she agreed to make Jadon a quilt.  Jadon helped find the back fabric.  It is a discontinued fabric so when we finally found it, it bought all they had left.  Shawn, the lady who made the quilt, and I roughly talked about what Jadon might like and Jadon helped pick the design for the center of it.  Jadon got his quilt (and pillowcase) last week.  He loves it!  Shawn made it no so little kid-ish so it will last a long time!  My pictures don’t really do it justice.  One cool feature – the light saber glows in the dark.  J

Now, Kalina has decided she needs Shawn to make her a princess quilt.  Off we go to find the perfect material for her.
