Miracle League 2014

Spring time is an exciting time in our family for many reasons.  One reason – Miracle League!  Jadon and Kalina look forward to playing baseball weeks before the season starts.   This year was no exception.

During the first game of the season the Seahawks mascot Blitz came to visit.  That was a fun experience for everyone!  Kalina also got her picture in the paper.

Another exciting addition this year was more friends!  Jadon and Kalina had three friends join the team – Belle, Bradley and Charlotte.  Their friend Grace played last year and again this year.  Baseball is fun but even better with more friends. 

I really enjoyed watching these friends on the field.  Jadon and Bradley liked to hang out in the outfield.  Belle liked to follow Kalina around the bases.  Kalina and Charlotte liked to run the bases together.  They stood side by side in the outfield and took turns getting any balls that came their way.    When Charlotte broke her arm and couldn’t hit, she would just run the bases with Kalina.  What sweet friendships. 

Lunch out with friends after the game became a usual occurrence, extending the time with friends.  What a great way to spend six spring Saturdays!
