Family Weekend

Jadon had another great day at school on Friday.  Just being there with his friends makes him so happy.  He plans to go a little each day this week before Thanksgiving.  I would guess he’ll be back to full-time sooner than later.

We enjoyed our first weekend home as a family in a long time.  We even got Jadon out to eat at some of his favorite places.  J  Jadon and Kalina both seem to be enjoying just being home and doing things here they have not had a chance to do in a while.

This morning we went to church for the first time since Jadon’s halo surgery.  Our church is not actually that far from Children’s but there is a HUGE hill that prevented us from being able to walk there with Jadon.  Both Jadon and Kalina enjoyed being in their Sunday school classes.  Andy liked having Grandma Fry here to attend church with him (I always stay with Kalina and Jadon).

This afternoon we took advantage of Grandma being here and some non-rainy weather to hang our Christmas lights outside.  Jadon and Kalina are excited about that.  Kalina keeps telling us they are beautiful and wonders why we don’t have them turned on now (we are going to wait until after Thanksgiving for that).

Jadon continues to work on his therapy at home.  He took 30 steps yesterday!  He is amazing.

Tomorrow afternoon Jadon goes to get his stitches removed.  His doctors were not able to use the dissolvable ones because they keep going in the same place and they wanted to make sure everything healed well.  He is not really looking forward to that.  Hopefully it won’t be too bad.

We are looking forward to this week.  Thanksgiving will be extra special.  We are thankful for so much.
