We had another good day here.

Kalina and Grandma arrived this morning around 9:00 AM.  Jadon tried again unsuccessfully to chat with his class.  He is getting impatient (his words).  From what we know, we just have to wait until the District figures out something.  Maybe tomorrow...

Kalina and I left the hospital in time to have some time at home before school.  She was very happy about that.  She had a fun day at school, like usual.  She was excited about riding the roller coaster during therapy, which was one of Jadon's favorite activities, too.  Peggy, her nurse, even sent us a little video of her in action.  Andy and I got Kalina from school.  I think it is the first time we have both been there to get her. 

Jadon and Grandma kept busy with school work reading and playing.  They have a great relationship. 

When we returned to the hospital, we decorated Jadon's room with Halloween lights and they looked great.  Unfortunately, we were told we could not turn them on because they are a fire hazard.  :-(

Jadon and Kalina had more fun in the therapy gym this afternoon.  Jadon worked hard again.   After that, he needed a shower -which we gave him.  He continues to do well with his neck exercises, too.

This evening we had a visit from Elke and her daughter Taylor.  We always laugh when we see Elke.  Their dog, Eleanor, was in their car and they drove her to the entrance so Jadon and Kalina could see her.  They were excited to see her again.

Shortly after they left we had a visit from Griffin and Jason.  They were kind enough to bring Jadon a Delfino's pizza for dinner.  Yum!!  Griffin and Jason joined us for dinner (enchiladas I had made at home which we cooked here).  They also brought some gifts for Jadon and Kalina which kept us all entertained for a while.

By that time, it was almost 8 PM.  We said goodbye to our visitors and Andy, Kalina and Grandma.  Jadon and I stayed up chatting tonight.  His great spirit continues to amaze me.
