Jadon has become good at sleeping with his halo. He has even managed to sleep on his tummy, one of his preferred sleeping positions. It does not look all that comfortable to me but he likes it.
Jadon and I had a busy morning. We did math, writing and spelling before Kalina and Grandma arrived. Jadon and Kalina had fun playing here this morning with some of the presents they have been given. It is nice to see them play with each other, even if they do get each other mad sometimes.
Grandma and Jadon spent a lot of time reading while Kalina was at school. They are trying to finish a book before Grandma leaves on Saturday. I think they can do it. While Kalina and I were gone, Jadon's traction weight was increased to 21 pounds. He is scheduled to have more x-rays on Monday to see how he is doing. I pray for some significant correction since his surgery date is quickly approaching.
Kalina had fun at school. I returned some craft supplies to her therapist, Jody, when we got to school. After chatting, Jody invited me to lunch. I went home a did a few quick things while Jody finished her work. Then she came and got me and we went to lunch. It was good to chat and have some time with a friend. I got home and back to school just in time to get Kalina. Another friend at Sorenson had a meal ready for us. We are so lucky to have such great friends.
Kalina and I were here for therapy again today. Jadon got to go for a long walk. On his walk, he found a pretty empty hallway with a ramp. He had lots of fun walking up the ramp and then running down as fast as he could. Kalina joined in the fun with her walker. Our friend Pam was here for a visit at the time. She got some pictures of the action (most were blurry due to the speed of the running). I am glad therapy is so much fun. Jadon and Kalina look forward to it each day. Jadon got a Star Wars book from Pam which he already read and will be rereading soon. She also got him some glow in the dark maggots. I think we may hide them in his room tonight to see what the nurses think of them.
Alayne came by to say hi again today. It is nice to see her during her breaks.
Early in the evening we had a visit from Betsy and her daughter Chelsea. Chelsea works for Nintendo. She manged to get some great presents for Jadon and Kalina, including 5 new Wii games for Jadon. Jadon and Andy are ready for boys weekend to start. Let the fun begin! Kalina loves her Princess Peach doll. It has already been decided that she will be part of our girls weekend.
Andy, Kalina and Grandma went home after dinner. Andy is going to try to clean out some pumpkins so they are ready for carving this weekend. I would offer to help but I am really not good at that job.
We are gong to have a fun Friday with Grandma tomorrow. I am guessing both Jadon and Kalina will want to spend a lot of time with her on her last full day with us (for now).
