Resting

Jadon is peacefully sleeping after a long day.  We are happy to report that all of your prayers requests were answered!  Getting the IV sites went better than usual, Jadon's surgery lasted just about the hour they predicted, and Grandma Fry arrived safely this afternoon.

Jadon was pretty groggy all day from the anesthesia, even though the procedure only lasted about an hour.  He was also nauseous most of the day.  We think that is finally under control thanks to some anti-nausea medicine.

Jadon's doctor informed us that the team plans to come see Jadon tomorrow around 11 AM to start traction.  They are also thinking he will stay here on the surgical floor for about a week while they work on increasing the traction weight.  They would like him closely monitored and, right now, they feel he is in the best place for that.

Kalina was a great sister today.  We kept her with us today so she missed school.  She was a little upset about that but we managed to keep her pretty occupied.  She cares so much about Jadon and you could really tell that today.  When she saw him after surgery she asked him what was on his head and if his back was all better now. 

We were happy to see Grandma Fry today.  Kalina already has planned several play activities.  We also had visits from Masumi and Alayne.
