It has been almost a month since our last post.  Where does the time go?

Jadon has been doing well.  He is standing and walking more and more.  It is nice to see his strength returning.  February 7 marked his 3 month post-op date.  He was required to wear his back brace for three months so he does not really need to wear it now.  Jadon has had a brace since late July (except while in traction).  He was not comfortable with the idea of just not wearing one anymore.  I don’t think I would be either!  Jadon knows he is safe and secure in his brace.  So, we are starting slow with the brace removal process.  He does a little bit each day.  He is so used to it he does not even notice now how hot it makes him.  Next week Jadon goes for another follow-up appointment.  He will have another x-ray of his back and we will see how things look.  We are not anticipating anything exciting but you never know. 

Kalina is doing well, too.   She loves riding her bike and likes to sing and make up songs now.  She is very creative and has a great imagination. 

School is going just fine for both Jadon and Kalina.  Next week they have mid-winter break and are looking forward to Grandma Sladek coming for a visit.
