Jadon's surgery started at 8:30. They called us at 9:30 to sign a consent form for a central blood line since his IV sites were not very secure. The central line placement was successful. As of a 12:30 PM, they had one rod placed and had no signal loss.
We saw Dr. White at 2:15. They were able to get both rods placed without any signal loss. They also did some fusion on the front of his spine and used bigger rods this time. He feels that everything looks very good. They have sealed him up and are finishing up. The final steps are the removal of his halo and tweaking his central line which acted up during the surgery a few times.
They will move him to the ICU later this afternoon. Thanks for your prayers and please keep praying for strength and a speedy recovery.
Aunt Allison and I have been thinking about you all day, Jadon. We love you!
