Ouch!

Please pray for Jadon.  He had an accident at school yesterday.

I got a call ~2:15 PM saying Jadon had fallen out of his scooter at recess.  Jadon does not really know what happened - how he fell out of his scooter.  He had never done that (the reason why he usually does not wear his seatbelt).  He knows people were following him (a usual thing) but holding onto his scooter (not a usual thing).  We know people were on their way to remind the kids not to hold into his scooter.  Jadon does not know what caused him to fall.  I am sure whatever happened was an accident.

Kalina and I got to school ~2:30 PM.  He was in better spirits than I anticipated.  He even let one of the school secretaries hold his hand and try to comfort him.

Luckily, he did not need to go to the doctor.  He has a cut by his eye looks painful.  There was less bleeding than I thought there would be.  We iced his eye/head throughout the afternoon and evening yesterday but he still woke with a purple eye and surrounding area.  His eye was also swollen shut.  We iced it throughout the day again today.  He is able to open his eye but not all that far.  We were concerned about his back.  He had not had any pain so we are hoping everything inside of him is ok (he has only had one dose of Tylenol).  He has an orthopedic appointment soon and he'll get checked at that time.  We fell so lucky that he was not more seriously hurt.

Jadon's glasses looked pretty bad.  I was afraid to touch them.  The people at Costco were able to bend them back into shape.  His one lens is scratched so we ordered new glasses for him.

Jadon is a little hesitant to go anywhere looking like he does.  He was surprised to see himself today.  Here’s hoping we can get him to church tomorrow and school on Monday.

Please pray that he heals quickly and that everything inside him is ok.  Please also pray that he is able to return to school and enjoy playing with his friends like usual.
