The Adventures of Jadon and Kalina: Grandma Sladek's Visit

We had a fun visit with Grandma Sladek last week. She arrived on Friday night (the 10^th). On Saturday we enjoyed taking her to the last basketball game of the season for Jadon and Kalina. What fun it is to watch the all the kids play. The team went to lunch after the game. We were also able to go to the Camp Korey Fall Festival and the Camp Korey Camper’s Reunion. She liked being able to see Camp Korey after hearing so much about it.

Andy was in Nashville Monday through Thursday for a conference. It was nice to have her help and some adult company. She and I enjoyed some nice lunches while Jadon and Kalina were at school. We had a good time getting supplies for our October LPA meeting and doing some shopping. Wednesday she took Jadon birthday shopping and we took her to Uncle Peteza’s, one of our favorite local restaurants.

We were also able to take her to Woodmoor. She met Jadon’s teacher and helped entertain Kalina while I had a Halloween Party planning meeting. She also met Kalina’s teacher at Sorenson and got a chance to say hi to others she has met there over the years.

Jadon and Kalina always enjoy spending time with her. She played lots of baseball with them (inside). Kalina kept her busy doing look and find books and playing with her girl LEGOs. Kalina made Grandma laugh by taking lots of funny pictures. We tried to get a good picture of Grandma and the kids but Kalina kept winking, a new talent she has learned. Grandma also hemmed quite a few dresses for Kalina.

What a great week we had!
