Sunday was fourth grade Bible day
at our church. I was not sure how Jadon
felt about this. He has several Bibles
we have gotten him over the years and I wasn’t sure how excited he was about
getting another one.
We had to meet early at church to
go over the process of getting the Bibles. Jadon was pretty quiet while we waited.
He rode his scooter into church with the four other boys getting their
Bibles at the 8:30 AM service. Jadon was
first to get his (they went alphabetically).
The pastors came down the steps to give him is Bible so he would not
have to try to navigate the stairs.
Kalina, Andy and I watched from the second row. He had a big smile on his face.
He didn’t say too much about it
at first. Later he told me he was proud
to get his Bible. He seemed even happier
when he realized they had written his name in it for him with the date it was
presented to him.
I was a little surprised this
morning when it came time to do his reading for school. He decided he was going to read his
Bible. He discovered it is 1,263 pages
long! He said he wants to read it all,
front to back. I wonder how long that
will take him.
