Merry Christmas!

Last night we went to a Christmas Eve service at church.  It was heartwarming to see Jadon signing all the carols.  Kalina got bored part way through the service so she and I went for a walk.  She ended up log rolling down one of the ramps.  It was difficult for both Jadon and Kalina to fall asleep last night – eager with anticipation for today.

What a fun day we have had!  Jadon woke around 5:30 AM.  He did manage to stay in bed until around 6 AM when we finally let him wake Kalina.  Jadon and Kalina were so excited to celebrate Christmas and seem to love each gift they received.  Jadon has been happily building LEGOs and flying his remote control helicopter.  Kalina has been busy playing with lots of new things.  She was very excited to get a “Minnie Baby”, a baby Minnie Mouse stuffed animal.  We have enjoyed being home and cherish our time as a family.

Kalina got an early Christmas present on Thursday.  She now has her own custom made trike (her bike).  She loves it!  It was made by Nathan Hooper of Me and Hoop’s Custom Creations.  She has been practicing riding her bike so she can “keep up with” her friends at school.  She is so excited to show them.  She wears her helmet to be safe and her shoes because the pedals are kind of pokey.  By Friday she was riding around the kitchen island.  Not bad for someone who had never previously peddled.

We have an extra day with Andy tomorrow as his office is closed.  More time to play and enjoy each other’s company.
