Jadon had another good day.
He and I had a quiet morning. Kalina and Grandma stayed home this morning so we did not have our usual early morning visitors. He and I read and worked on his math assignments. Writing is a challenge right now so we have a OT consult to help us with this. Typing is not as bad but is still not particularly easy.
Jadon got into his wheelchair around 10:15 AM. Once he is up, he does not usually want to stay in his room for long. We went for a walk to visit some of our hospital friends. I also got my flu shot here at the hospital. We came back to the room for PT. Jadon got to try the traction walker for the first time. I'll have to have Andy help me post some pictures. He manged to stand and even walk a little. The standing starts pretty slow because patients ofter say it hurts so he was only up for a few minutes. Luckily, Jadon did not complain about any pain.
We went for a walk to the cafeteria to get lunch for Jadon. We spent some more time doing school work and reading this afternoon.
Kalina and Grandma came around 3 PM. We all went to the play room for pumpkin painting. Kalina had fun making a great looking pumpkin. Jadon was not interested in making one (he was busy playing pool with Grandma) so I made him a pumpkin with a halo. :-)
Andy arrived late this afternoon followed shortly by Betsy from Woodmoor. We reviewed and finalized Jadon's IEP. The school was very accommodating since we were unable to make it to the earlier meeting with Jadon's entire team.
We had a quiet evening. Grandma made us a nice dinner while Kalina was at school and brought that for us tonight. Andy, Kalina and Grandma headed for home around 7 PM.
Jadon does need neuro checks every 4 hours, even through the night, so his sleep in going to be interrupted some. Luckily, he usually is able to go back to sleep without much trouble. Let's hope that continues.
We had a morning visit from Analyne (it helps that she works here) and Betsy this afternoon. Jadon was happy to see them.
