Jadon managed to sit in his wheelchair for 7 hours this afternoon. We never would have guessed that he could do it since he couldn't sit up for long at all last week.
This afternoon, Mrs. Charouhas, stopped by with a handwritten card from each of Jadon's classmates. I wish you could have seen the size of the smile on his face as he read them. The class also made a big poster with all of their photos which is now hanging on the wall of our room. Jadon told me tonight after everyone left that he desperately misses the C-1 stars.
Mrs. C also brought Jadon some homework to do next week. He was so excited to have a visitor that he didn't even seem bothered to get some assignments.
Next to arrive were Julianna, Alicia, and Lisa Barker. Kalina was as excited as Jadon to see Julianna. Jadon led them on a brief walking (rolling) tour of the 3rd floor. Visits from his friends really brighten Jadon's spirits. I don't think he could have made it the entire 7 hours without the visitors.
Our final visitor was Shelley from Sorenson who has kind enough to bring us dinner. Kalina was so pooped that she fell asleep as we were finishing eating. I expect Jadon will sleep well tonight, too.
Okay, enough typing. Boys night #2 here we come!!
